About the Job
About Role:
- Responsible for maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, security, and structural systems and elements of the building.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects boilers, HVAC equipment, generators, pumps, motors, and similar mechanical/electrical equipment on a regular basis; troubleshoots problems and repairs as required.
- Tests and treats water in air conditioning and heating systems; recharges refrigeration systems.
- Maintains and services a variety of test equipment and hand and power tools; keeps a small inventory of frequently used supplies and hardware.
- Ensures that proper safety precautions are followed.
- Maintains records of work performed and materials used.
- Performs miscellaneous painting tasks within the plant or outside painting on the facilities and grounds.
- May perform various levels of facilities upkeep including landscaping, snow removal, and refuse removal.
- After appropriate training; performs light equipment maintenance tasks such as filter cleaning and replacement, trench screen cleaning, lint and dust blowdown of facilities and equipment, fluid level checks, light bulb replacement, ceiling tile replacement, cart cleaning, and repair, and pressure washing.
